Golf notebook: Juniors give dads a Father’s Day salute | Sports

Sunday is Father’s Day. Two players in the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior golf tournament gave their dads early gifts Friday.

Haylin Harris, who is from Carmel, Indiana, shot a 3-under-par 67 in the final round at Bellefonte Country Club in Ashland to win the Girls Division by five shots. Kelvin Lim, who is from Thornill, Ontario, Canada, fired an 8-under 62 to set a personal best and Bluegrass Junior scoring record in the Boys Division and vaulted into a tie for second place, three strokes behind winner Cade Russell, from Knoxville, Tennessee.
